Editor-in-chiefHello! As a student journalist of four years, I am over the moon excited to start the year as the new editor-in-chief. I am so grateful to the numerous mentors who have come alongside me and nurtured my love of journalism. On the personal side of my life, I value family, education, and a strong moral compass. I've been a member of the girl scouts of southwest Texas for eleven years, and I am a UIL academic competitor in events such as ready writing, journalism events, science, and social studies. Last year, I received the amazing opportunity to compete in headline writing UIL at the state level in UT Austin. As someone who signed up for newspaper on a whim, I can truly say I am grateful for the wonderful opportunities afforded through the program. Aside from my love of writing, I enjoy wreath making, embroidery, baking, and becoming seriously invested in books that will most likely break my heart. Some of my favorite things in the world are the beach, strawberry ice cream, the Twilight saga, Barnes and Noble, and my dog Cookie. Thank you God for bringing me on this journey, and thank you to all the wonderful staff members who make it worthwhile.
